This issue isn’t just green. It’s about the environment.
It might sound confusing but its not.
If we do not start thinking seriously about our world’s environmental problems, the great god-like Ozone will vanish, his absence transforming the planet earth into a burning ball of uninhabitable cinder.
“It’s the end of the world as we know it”, sang mankind as he watched varying weather phenomena ravage his greatest achievement of all: civilisation.
But don’t worry. If and when a New World order comes in, polluting the air of future generations will be a crime so heinous, it will be punished by imprisonment in a sinking rubbish dump! Then no one will want to use or buy plastic bags…the developed world will no longer use the underdeveloped world as a bin.
And everyone will be happy.
Or will they?
PS. Well
done to J. Holten who won a national award for his short story “Germania”,
featured in last month’s Verity.
